Life Coaching is a professional partnership between a qualified Coach and an individual that supports the achievement of extraordinary results through focus, accountability, and celebration.

What is life coaching?

Through the process of coaching, the client focuses on the goals, skills and actions needed to successfully produce the results they want. The client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions as well as concepts and principles that can assist in generating possibilities and identifying actions. The Coach understands the client's potential and helps shift their focus and awareness to get where they want to be in the future while holding them accountable every step along the way. Life Coaching can be conducted in person or over the phone, and lasts for as long as the client wishes (usually a minimum of 3 months).

What are the benifits of life coaching?

Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience new perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, improved interpersonal effectiveness, and more confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles. The clarity, self-esteem, and fulfillment someone can achieve will spread from the areas they choose to work on in the coaching relationship to all areas in their life.

Is coaching right for you?

Do you desperately want what you have always dreamt of but have no idea how to start or feel overwhelmed by getting it? Do you desire to feel proud and worthy of your successes? Do you want to discover your life's purpose? Do you wish you understood why you communicate with others in a certain way? Do you just need someone to motivate you to change? Are you ready to devote the time and the energy to making real changes in your work or life? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then coaching may be right for you. The specific situations below could also present an excellent time to start getting coached!

  • There is something at stake (a challenge or opportunity)
  • There is a gap in knowledge, skills, confidence, or resources
  • A big stretch is being asked or required, and it is time sensitive
  • There is a desire to accelerate results
  • There is a need for a course correction in work or life due to a setback
  • Someone in your life is holding you back from getting something you want
  • You are extremely successful, and success has started to become problematic
  • Work and life are out of balance, and this is creating unwanted consequences

How is coaching conducted?

The structure of coaching is flexible. Coaching is usually conducted in person for at least an hour at a convenient time for both the coach and client. However, telephone sessions can also be arranged and are a great supplement to face-to-face sessions. It is up to the coach and client to decide what works best for them.
