What is Body Sculpting for?

Building muscle and Burning Calories

Yes it does, even in your sleep, building strength and having toned muscles looks sexy. Makes you feel strong and alive and prevents heart disease and depression etc

Exercise for Strong Bones

Regular physical activity on a long-term basis has a particularly important role in maintaining healthy bones. Exercise can maintain and increase bone strength by increasing bone mass or by slowing age-related bone loss. Muscle strength is also increased, which is important for supporting the joints and preventing falls.

Exercise has also been shown to improve co-ordination and balance, which helps to prevent falls and to improve general physical health and well-being.
Be aware that any positive gains in bone strength are lost when you stop exercising, so that it is important that your exercise is regular and ongoing.
Exercise helps to build and maintain strong bones prevent falls and fractures and speed rehabilitation. (Ref www.osteoporosis.org.au)

Balancing Life

I include balance work within the class, however, it is very important to keep and improve our balancing skills. Statistics show that most people get injured by falling over because they were off balance, resulting in broken bones or worse.

Try and work balance into every day life, just 10 seconds a day on each leg with eyes closed can work wonders, and everyone should be able to fit this in.

Exercise Helps Prevent Alzheimer’s Disease

We all know that exercise can help prevent diseases like heart, osteoporosis and cancer but recent research indicates that doing exercise that challenges the mind, ie motor skills also exercise the mind. So when you think our warm up routine might be a bit convoluted just remember its good to test your coordination and challenge yourself.  [Ref: Radio National Health Report]

New research from the UWA has found that walking at least 2.5 hours per week greatly reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, this also applies to other forms of exercise that increase the heart rate, which in turn reduces stress, depression and anxiety. In other words makes you happy.

What are the benefits of these Classes?
